Dextra Jackson is the founder and Executive Director of Love Our Humanity Housing (LOH), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing safe, stable, and supportive housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles.
With a deep personal commitment to serving those in need, Dextra established LOH on the foundational belief that every person deserves dignity, compassion, and a place to call home. Under his leadership, the organization has grown from a single location to multiple homes serving over 100 individuals and families across the greater Los Angeles area.
Dextra brings years of experience in community development, case management, and nonprofit leadership. His hands-on approach — combined with a genuine passion for human restoration — has made him a trusted voice and advocate in the fight against homelessness. He firmly champions the Housing First model, emphasizing that stable housing is the necessary foundation from which individuals can rebuild their lives.
Beyond providing housing, Dextra has built a comprehensive ecosystem of supportive services including workshops, job assistance, AA meetings, counseling referrals, and wellness programs — all designed to empower residents to achieve lasting independence and self-sufficiency.
He is known for his compassionate leadership style, his unwavering belief in second chances, and his tireless dedication to the communities he serves. Dextra continues to grow Love Our Humanity Housing's reach and impact, working tirelessly to ensure that no one in Los Angeles goes without a safe place to sleep.
